Metro Express Limited is a company registered in Mauritius. Incorporated on October 26, 2016, under the exclusive ownership of the Mauritian Government, Metro Express Limited (MEL) is the driving force behind the implementation of an innovative transport sector, namely the public light rail network known as the Metro Express.MEL is also responsible for implementing the multimodal transport system that this new interurban network has made possible for the country. The company oversees the implementation and financing of the Metro Express project, as well as its development, construction, management, and operations.
